Big design impact, but read this for important things to know before you buy
This light fixture really makes a bold statement and hits both the industrial and modern aesthetics very nicely. Overall, I'm happy with it in my space but there are some things you should know before you buy. 1) It took many calls and follow up to the vendor to find out delivery status 2) It comes assembled and in a huge crate that did not fit through my 36" door so we had to dismantle the wooden crate before getting it into the house. 3) It does not come with installation instructions and the nipple is too short to install the fixture as is. You will need to buy parts to be able to install this properly including a mounting bracket and longer nipple. Given the cost for the fixture, it is an embarrassment that you have to go out and buy $4 worth of parts to be able to install it, not to mention, the extra time you will need to spend (or pay someone to spend) figuring out what you need because they couldn't be bothered to include instructions. It takes a bit of tinkering to be able to get the canopy on because of limited visibility once you have the wiring hooked up. 4) This fixture is basically made of lamp parts. Rods are basic steel colored, not blackened as they appear in the picture and the canopy is not fine or unique, just a standard cheap part. Luckily the overall design makes up for some of this but be aware it is pretty overpriced for what it is especially when you consider the installation issues.
